Muster Drill, Sail Away and Ship Exploration

After a little bit of unpacking, it was time for the life boat drill. On Celebrity, the muster stations are located at various spots around the ship instead of outside beside a life boat. Ours was in the Opus Dining Room, which is the main dining room. We gathered with the other passengers and then watched a safety video. After the video ended they asked us to wait to hear a message from the captain. We waiting a very long before listening g to a short and nearly incomprehensible (due to his accent) message from the captain before being dismissed.

After the safety drill, we headed outside to the deck to watch sail away. It was beautiful outside. Goodbye Miami!

Obligatory Sail Away Photos. Grandma Trudy, Ross and Sweet Pea.

Shannon. Ross and Sweet Pea.

Grandma Trudy headed back to her room to do some more unpacking so Ross and Sweet Pea and I went to Cafe Al Bacio for a little break.

Ross ordered an IGLU which is like a Frappuchio.

I had an amazing ginger white iced tea. They brew the tea fresh and the. Give you two containers of ice to pour it over.

This was fun and delicious.

We also had a honey salted pie and a chocolate mousse. The mousse was very good while the pie was just okay. It did not have much honey flavor or any saltiness for that matter.

Next we walked around the lawn on Deck 15. We really noticed that it smelled just like grass. Sweet Pea especially liked the hammocks.

There are giant chairs to sit in which many people take photos of.

Next Up: Our first dinner at sea.
