Day 3 - Celebrity Showtime: Illusionist Alex Ramon

Sweet Pea and I enjoyed some of the wonderful decaf iced tea before the show.  I love tea and was really happy with the wide selection of Tea Forte teas that were served at Café al Bacio.  They were delicious!

When it was finally the right time (ship time!), we went to see Alex Ramon, the illusionist.   Since we were still docked in San Juan, Grandma Trudy wanted to catch up on emails so she missed this one.

Ross and I thought his show was pretty good, but Sweet Pea was mesmerized.  We had more fun watching her than the show.  There was one levitation trick where Alex's assistant, Meghan Doyle, was completely horizontal and supported by only one small pole near her shoulder.  After the show, Sweet Pea looked up at me and said, "I think I know how his assistant was able to levitate."

"Oh, really?  How is that?"

"She's a robot," Sweet Pea explained.

"Ahh, I see..."

Sweet Pea continued, "You know, she'd have to be really polished to seem so human.  Not like a normal robot, but I think they could make a really advanced one like that."

Even after shaking Miss Doyle's hand after the show, Sweet Pea remained unconvinced of Miss Doyle's humanity.

"What do you think now that you've met her?" I asked.

"Well, did you notice that she didn't actually speak to us?" Sweet Pea said knowingly.

After the show we met back up with Grandma Trudy and explored the ship while we waited for our Murano dinner reservation time.  There were some nice large hammocks for two near the pool.  These areas are usually really busy during the day so it was nice to wander around and be able to use them a little bit in the evening.

We tried out some other comfortable seating.  These were big round chairs with fabric covers.  Ross and Sweet Pea took a selfie.

We were able to view the pretty lights of San Juan from the Solstice Deck at the top of the ship.

Here are some more pictures from the super large lawn chairs from the lawn club.

On this deck there is a specialty restaurant called the Lawn Club Grill which is about $45 extra per person.  The guests are able to help grill their own meats.  We never ate here, but it looked like everyone was having a lot of fun.
